Abstract

This is actually 2 trees. The original was struck by lightning and died and the new tree grew around it (the dead portion is the darker part inside that looks burnt).

Post: Just dinkin' around in Photoshop. I really wish I knew what I was doing in there. Anyone wanna volunteer to teach a Photoshop 101?

    Did you hike juniper trail? I think it looks fine, I would like to see what the original turned out like. I like the color of the little live buds against the bark

    I really like the subject as well as the shot. I would probably crop it down to remove the top-right portion that is blown-out. Nicely done Matt!
